Power charging
Thermoelectric effect
Another possible way to charging the power can be using the thermoelectric effect,
which is using human temperature as a heat source to harvesting power when kid hug it. for this type of power charging will require a piece of aluminum put in somewhere around the toy surface.
Also another the blinking ring:

Power Charging
For a digital toy, naturally need to consider a power charging.
It's kind of nature need for a robot kind, like human need food, personally really love this "feature", this "power charging", a weak point of robot, which make them one more step closer to human king.
Inductive charging, also call wireless charging:
This type of power charging have a great advantage in:
- Durability
- Protected connections
Wireless charging have been come out of lab, we can found it use in cellphone, toothbrush:
Material research
Silicon-gel filled type is quite soft buy remain the shape.
This create a good hand contact feeling.
Material research
Baymax is actually based on real (and awesome) research out of Carnegie Mellon University. The excitement has apparently inspired some equally real robots to get dressed up in big white inflatable suits.
The lab had mentioned a new flex, skin touch friendly material that possible use for robot in the future. See picture below, I think it will be a idea material for the toy.
